about the band

With a focus on acoustic originals, Ten Years Too Late is a Providence-based quartet featuring vocals, guitar, violin, mandolin, banjo, drums, and the occasional rockin’ tambourine. Started late in 2005, when founding members Matthew Harvey and Tracie Potochnik wondered why the hell their respective musical talents hadn’t yet been sufficiently released upon the world, the band focused on writing a set of lyrically intimate songs lending themselves to acoustic performance and seamless vocal harmonies. With the arrival of fiddle player Stephanie Kissam in early 2006, the band truly found its sound. Running the gamut from soulful country ballads to upbeat irreverent pop, Ten Years Too Late will make you cry, think, and stomp your feet (sometimes all at once). Their new self-released EP, The Winnipesaukee Sessions, features five originals proving that Ten Years Too Late has arrived just in time.
